Jacob Latimore (born August 10, 1996) is an American recording artist, dancer, and actor. In 2005, the 9-year-old Milwaukee native recorded his first song “Best Friend”, which gained attention from local DJs. The song was later picked up by Radio Disney and featured on the station’s Incubator program, which profiles young artists around the country. His single “Superstar” written by Rico Love charted at #5 on the Billboard R&B and Hip Hop chart.
In 2007, with the support of his parents and management team, Crown World Entertainment, he made the move to Atlanta to pursue his music. Several record labels courted Jacob before he signed with Jive Records in March 2010 at the age of 13.[1] Later the same year Latimore released his single “Like ‘Em All” featuring Diggy Simmons and made his feature film debut playing James in Vanishing on 7th Street starring alongside Thandie Newton, Hayden Christensen, and John Leguizamo.[2]
Jacob’s song “This or That” is featured on popular CD series Now! 37.[3] Latimore is managed by Larry Rudolph who also represents Britney Spears.
