FOCUS

edit

Seeing the need for Catholic campus outreach, Curtis Martin and Dr. Edward Sri founded FOCUS in 1998 at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. [2]

FOCUS is a national outreach to college campuses, both to secular and Catholic schools. FOCUS' goal is: "Inviting college students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Inspiring and equipping them for a lifetime of Christ-centered evangelization, discipleship, and friendship in which they lead others to do the same." [3] In 2012-2013, 74 FOCUS teams will serve on campuses in 30 states with over 300 full-time staff members on campus. FOCUS has also fostered more than 335 vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. [4]

FOCUS is one of the fastest growing movements in the Catholic Church. [5] Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia stated, “No one does a more dynamic job of reaching college students for Christ than FOCUS.” [6] Cardinal Timothy Dolan stated, “If you’re looking for hope, look to FOCUS.”[7]
