President Wilson was a champion war pigeon in the United States Army known for his service during WWI, including posting a record time delivering targeting coordinates from advance tanks back to artillery lines despite having a gunshot wound to the chest and one leg shot off, leading to his taxodermic preservation outside the office of the Army Chief of Staff in the Pentagon.

President Wilson was born in France and was among the first pigeons to be acquired and used in battle by the newly formed US Army Tank Corps]] under Coronel George S. Patton in the Battle of Saint-Mihiel. He was placed into the first advance tanks and released through the turret with targeting coordinate messages for the rear artillery, who would place him into another tank and repeat the mission.
