It's no exaggeration to suggest that it's almost impossible to calculate the musical and cultural influence Hendrix had, especially when he went to the UK. There are numerous accounts of how the British rock/pop monarchy reacted to his early concerts in London,[mulitple refs, esp. Squire, Beck, Townshend, McCartney & ?].
