Overview
editGanirelix, also marketed as Antagon, and the active ingredient in Orgalutran, is a drug that is sometimes used to regulate pituitary hormone secretions in women undergoing fertility treatment [1]. It allows the regular timing of the surges of hormones involved in the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal axis to be controlled exogenously. Ganirelix is a competitive gonadotropin releasing hormone [1].
