Thanks! edit

I appreciate the barnstar and compliment. I'm glad to know those sundew stubs are useful. I'm slowly getting to all of the species, but then they'll need a decent expansion! There's a lot more to write! By the way, I adore your city. I used to live in Olympia and would get down to Portland as much as possible. Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 11:59, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

New Page Patroller's Barnstar edit

Thanks! Though I've been here for two years now, this is actually my very first barnstar. ArcAngel (talk) 19:13, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

BJJ ranks edit

I'd suggest we summarise the section on the main BJJ page & shift most of the content to the new article. the BJJ page is getting very long so the would be a good time to do it & add more content @ the same time. --Natet/c 09:46, 10 September 2009 (UTC) P.s I have added both this & your comment to the discussion page.

Sorry for the delayed response, I think a sandbox would be a great idea, sourcing form the IBJJF should not be an issue for non-controversial stuff (after all the theoretically control what the ranks are). If you've already started put a link up & we can get the core ready to be put up. --Natet/c 12:16, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Delayed response again, I hada quick look but will have a more detailed one & tweak some bits some time this week. --Natet/c 10:36, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
I assume the spaces were for easy reading while editing so left them alone, some titles on the refs would be good (I tend to use the ones of the page) & it may be a good idea to use {{citeweb}} rather than simple links. --Natet/c 13:44, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
I'm Glad to help! just wish I had more time to do bits, I may see if I can find some Google book refs Biograpies may be an alternate place to look
I'll have another go though, please feel free to change anything i've done if you think it dosen't work, I almost posted suggesting you put it up for general editing as it's looking far better then 90% of 1st versions. --Natet/c 10:28, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

<- Some thoughts:

  • It looks like the all the ranks are 'one of the longer held ranks' not sure if this reflects the source but it may be best to remove the comments & just leave the durations in there.
  • could do with a source on other arts time in rank for comparison, I'll have a loook @ some other articles & see if I can use one from there.

--Natet/c 15:35, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

I couldn't find anything obvious for belt time sources but that can be added later, I'd suggest moving it ot article space & re directing the individual ones to it, & see how it goes. --Natet/c 10:49, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
It's not finished, but it is a balanced sourced article that will benefit from having more eyes on it, ON the sectio nin the main BJJ article, link the new one with {{main}} and we can trim it down to provide opnly basic info, i.e. what the ranks are with minimal detail and the type of requirements e.g. sparring competence for all grades, rather than specifics of each. --Natet/c 08:31, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I very much appreciate the barnstar!, I have to say I think you have done far more work on that bage the me, I was just tidying up yoou have produced most of the content, I posted this to get a bit more review --Natet/c 09:20, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Admin help needed edit

{{adminhelp}} In regards to adminhelp, I'm concerned about a user that I think means well but appears to be committing blatant, repeated copyright violations with images and plagiarized text. Not sure really what to do or who to tell. Thanx!

Helllo Buddy, I am an administrator. Which user are you referring to? Cheers,  Skomorokh  22:11, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I have raised the issue at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Copyright_concern. Regards,  Skomorokh  22:46, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Bald Rock edit

I was thinking about that! Podruznik (talk) 23:50, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

September 2009 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bald Rock, California. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. I know your trying to do what's right but at the moment we need to stop the reverting, if he does it again he will be blocked. Bald Rock edit

I saw that and agree, you just need to try and come to common ground :) when Podruznik is unblocked hopefully you guys can work together on the talk page to figure out what's best. Let me know if you need help or mediation :) Jamesofur (talk) 00:37, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks a lot asshole! You got me blocked you fucking asshole!!!

The source was a local guide book, how do we source that?

Ah dude! I dont remember! It's gonna take me a while to find it! It was my dad's book! I'm sure it's around here somewhere! Podruznik (talk) 23:42, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

It's a magazine called Adventures. It's an article called Hike Bald Rock on page 31! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Podruznik (talkcontribs) 23:47, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

The part about the demon, the shelter, the camping, and the nearby wildlife. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Podruznik (talkcontribs) 00:36, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Dunnage Bags thank you edit

I have never done this before, and dunnage bags was my first article. But I wanted to thank you for your feedback. I hope this is the right way to do it. I will definitly check out "lead paragraph" from Wikipedia and try to improve the article even more. Another thing you might be able to help me with. Ever since you did something with the article (or it might just be a coincidence ofcourse), it's difficult to get to the right position in the article. My cursor keeps going up all the time higher up on the page, which makes it nearly impossible to edit something. Also right now, while I am typing this, the page keeps going up all the time. Do you know wha causes this? I hope I explained it well, because english is not my native language. User:Astrid Groeneveld —Preceding undated comment added 00:12, 26 November 2009 (UTC).
