Jeremy Jahns, born (May 8, 1981) is an American YouTube personality and film critic. As of November 2018 his channel has acquired 530,000,000 total views across 1,400 videos. Jeremy Jahns has collaborated with other channels such as Screen Junkies and has also partnered with Defy Media. In addition to his personal work, he has been featured as a guest on the Collider Movie Talk, the film and entertainment podcast show. Jeremy Jahns is known for a red background and quick edits on his primary channel. The description on his channel states "A show of movie reviews and comedy. If I make you laugh, then I've done my job. Subscribe, and spread the word!" In addition to discussing movies, he will occasionally discuss video games and trailers for upcoming film releases.

Before experiencing YouTube success, Jahns was a projectionist at a movie theater. He has since has become the most subscribed movie reviewer on YouTube with over 1,400,000 subscribers since his start on the site March 7, 2007. He is also the founder and publisher of www.jeremyjahns.com, a blogging site where film enthusiasts can discuss new releases. In 2016, Jahns was featured as a panelist on the Collider Movie Talk podcast alongside Jon Schnepp and John Campea. However, in January the following year Jahns departed from the show.

The segment included Jahns talking about films and video games with his colleagues from Collider. In addition to the podcast format, there are brief comedy skits featuring the Collider crew.

The show first aired on the 19th of June 2014, and has featured an Jahns has also been quoted on the Express.co.uk saying assortment of different panelist from the Collider podcast. Jahns collaborated with other channels such as Screen Junkies, hosting the Screen Junkies Plus show Movie Games[2], and when reporting on the collaboration The Hollywood Reporter referred to Jahns as a "YouTube star" and "outspoken film critic."

CNBC has referred to Jahns as "YouTube Star" and a "media influencer", in their article "Netflix's biggest daredevil move: Making blockbuster comic book movies for theaters". Holding his opinion in high regard. His statements of "if it aint' broke, don't fix it" are quoted, when CNBC expresses the risks and rewards of the superhero genre migrating to Netflix series.

The news cite states that YouTubers such as Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckmann and the Nostalgia Critic have "amassed more than a million followers each, in effect, making them some of the most influential movie critics on the planet."'

Express UK edit

Jahns has also been quoted on the Express, when the news outlet was covering the controversial opening weekend to Solo: A Star Wars Story. Jahns echos the popular fan criticism that the Disney Star Wars movies fail to adapt to the times and capture the magic that was present in the original trilogy in a video titled: Fans vs Disney Star wars: The Current State of Things on the 30th of May 2018. In the article, published by the Express, Jahns opinion was used to reverberate the collective opinions of the fan base.
