Missouri S&T Mars Rover Design Team
editThe Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) Mars Rover Design Team (MRDT) was founded in spring 2012. MRDT Competes annually in the University Rover Challenge (URC) sponsored by teh Mars Society in Hanksville Utah. URC is apart of the Rover Challenge Series. MRDT has podium finishes at URC in 2014, 2017, and 2018.
MRDT is structured like a small business, the team yearly builds a new rover (mechanically and electrically) from the ground up utilizing information learned from the prior years competition along with the released rules to make decisions such as to iterate on a prior years design or design and build a whole new rover platform.
