Hello, I'm Bowler the Carmine! I'm a college student that (as you can infer) edits Wikipedia in his spare time. What I do on Wikipedia is usually minor maintenance, participating in discussions, and Twinkle-powered recent changes patrolling. I am usually active between 16:00 and 02:00 UTC, but I may not be as responsive some days because of college work. If I'm very busy, I'll place a Wikibreak notice at the top of this page, but no matter what I'll try to respond to everything same day.

Philosophy edit

The goal of Wikipedia is to be the sum of human knowledge, and while I think that's an unattainable goal, I am more than happy to help in the effort anyway.

Universal access, or, why I'm so obsessed with outdents edit

Not everyone runs the latest version of Google Chrome on a Windows 11 desktop with a 1920×1080 display, 16 gigs of ram, and an i7 processor. Some people don't even come close to those technical specs. Some people use screen readers to read out webpages to them. Some people only have phones to browse the web with. Some people read Wikipedia with a text browser like Lynx or w3m, or read it through a mirror using another protocol.

In addition,

Wikipedia is austere in its design, and rather than being a detriment, the simplicity and conservatism is an asset. Wikipedia is a model of what the web should be: simple, clean, no mandatory JavaScript or hacky CSS workarounds. Wikipedia works on anything, just like the rest of the web should. It's great... but it's not perfect.

In summary, outdent your discussion posts.
