Sekolah Persediaan Inggeris Kuala Belait ("Kuala Belait English Preparatory School") was renamed to Sekolah Pengiran Perdana Wazir or Sekolah Inggeris Perdana Wazir ("Perdana Wazir English School") on 12 September 1970 to commemorate the marriage ceremony of Prince Mohamed Bolkiah with Princess Zariah in August the same year.^[1]
