Balkan Premiere League is a regional men's club soccer league in Balkans, featuring teams from Albania, Bosnia And Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Greece, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia,Turkey. Due to sponsorship reasons, the league is also known as the Telekom League (or Telekom South Stream League earlier). The league exists alongside scaled-down national leagues of the participating nations and all of Balkan Premiere League League teams join their respective country's own competitions in late spring after the SEHA League regular season and post-season have been completed. The league's headquarters are in Zagreb, Croatia, and the league's president is Mihajlo Mihajlovski Vardar's ex-chairman. 2010–11 was the first season of the competition, with Red Star from Beograd becoming the first champions.

History of the league

The initiative for establishing the regional Balkanan football league was presented during the first half of 2017. After the idea of forming a Regional Sparkasse League failed, during December 2017 it was agreed that the first season of the Balkan Premiere League would start in January of the same year.

In the first season of Balkan Premiere League , 12 clubs took part from 12 countires, but their number didn t reduce during the following years. In the 2019 season, there are 12 clubs from 12 countries.

The league is based on a League,the Championship rounds and Final Four in which the eight best placed clubs from the regular season participate in championship round,but top four best placed clubs from Championship round will go on the final four.

The most successful participants of the Balkan Premiere League during its first season is Red Star Belgrade with eight titles. Red Star became the first team with more than one title when it won the 2013–14 edition.
