Maya Avant is a fictional character from the American CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, portrayed by former Guiding Light star Karla Mosley. She was introduced by executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell on January 17, 2013.

Storylines

2013–

Maya is an aspiring actress who gets a job at Dayzee's as well as an apartment that is above the coffeehouse. While working there, she meets Rick Forrester, who at first doesn't tell her who he is. Despite him having a girlfriend, they start spending a lot of time together. However, Maya later finds out who Rick is after an employee at a Forrester boutique calls him "Mr. Forrester" and is angry at him for lying to her about who he is. He later apologizes, and they continue spending time together. Their relationship goes to another level when they share a kiss. Despite various schemes by Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) in order to keep them apart, Rick and Maya continue to enjoy being together, and he even offers her a job as a spokeswoman for Hope For The Future, the fashion line created by his sister Hope Logan (Kim Matula).
