Ricardo Cardozo (born 14 January 1993) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Bengaluru FC in the I-League.
Career
editYouth
editBorn in Candolim, Goa, Cardozo has spent his youth career with Goa United Club, Dempo, and the famed Tata Football Academy.[1] After doing well during the All-Goa Inter-School Championships, Cardozo was selected to play for the Goa state team during a tournament in Lisbon, Portugal and then again at the youth nationals in India.[1]
In 2010 Cardozo was selected as one of 500 hopeful footballers to join the next batch of cadets at the Tata Football Academy in Jamshedpur, Orissa.[1]
Bengaluru FC
editIn July 2013, it was confirmed that Cardozo had been signed by Bengaluru FC of the I-League for the clubs very first season.[2]
International
editIn June 2012 it was confirmed that Cardozo had been selected to join the India U22 side for their AFC U-22 Championship qualifiers preparatory-camp.[3]
