edit

Ali Shah Mirza was born in 15 February 1796 as the 7th son of Fath-Ali Shah with Asieh Khanum, a noblewoman from the Davalu branch of Qajar tribe.[1][2] he was the full brother of Abbas Mirza who suggested to Fath-Ali Shah to appoint Ali Shah as the Mayor of Tehran.[3] for the resemblance between the two, Fath-Ali Shah bestowed him the title of Zell-e Soltan (Persian: ظل‌السلطان, lit.'the Look-alike of the King').[4]
