Stephen "Steve" Roemer (February 18, 1869 – February 21, 1942)

Roemer was born to Gus and Mary (Dicas) Roemer in Bowling Green, Kentucky on February 18, 1869.[1]

Educated in public schools to age 16.[1]

later attended Ogden College.[1]

married Josephine Castaneda of Benson, Arizona in 1919.[1]

took a position at the Mojave, California office of Wells Fargo & Company in 1893.[1]

transfered to Phoenix, Arizona Territory in 1895.[1]

assigned to Benson in 1897. [1]


represented Cochise county as a member of the House during the 21st Arizona Territorial Legislature and 22nd Arizona Territorial Legislature.[1]

represented Cochise county as a member of the Council during the 23rd Arizona Territorial Legislature and 24th Arizona Territorial Legislature.[1]

married Josephine Castenada of Benson on March 6, 1919.[3]

member of Pima county Board of Supervisors 1924 and 1925.[1]

retired in 1939.[1]

following his retirement, moved to Los Angeles, California[4]

died in Los Angeles on February 21, 1942.[5]

buried in Los Angeles' Holy Cross Cemetery.[5]
