I am a British user of Wikipedia and a native of North Yorkshire, born in Scarborough.

As far as my contributions to Wikipedia are concerned, my main interest is theatre: playwrights, actors, directors, theatre companies and institutions, books about theatre, theatre critics and criticism, theatrical history and key concepts in theatre.

My interest in the theatre began as a child in Scarborough and has developed since I moved to London in the 1980s. Having for many years lived in North London, I now live south of the river.

I am keen on keeping pages up to date, as well as ensuring that entries are written clearly and unambiguously. I am also interested in creating pages about figures in the world of theatre who have not previously been adequately recognized on Wikipedia, such as the actor Rosalie Craig, critics Jack Tinker and Aleks Sierz, and the directors Nicolas Kent, Benedict Andrews and Indhu Rubasingham.

Away from the theatre, my greatest interest is football, especially Newcastle United, whom I have supported since the 1970s. My favourite player then was Malcolm Macdonald, and my favourite Newcastle player of all time is either Paul Gascoigne or Peter Beardsley.
