My name is Adrienne Anderson and I am a senior at Illinois State University. I am originally from Glen Ellyn, a small suburb about 30 minutes west of Chicago. My major is Political Science and my minor is French. Although I never had the opportunity to study abroad, I recently went on vacation in Paris in the beginning of May and can't wait to go back and visit the countryside of France. I will be graduating in May of 2012 and volunteering for AmeriCorps for a year. There are many different programs within AmeriCorps, which is similar to the Peace Corps but it is only within the United States. I will be able to pick the top three states in which I want to volunteer, so hopefully it will land me either on the west or east coast. I am really interested in volunteer work and giving back to my community, as well as helping others who are less fortunate than I. This will be a great opportunity for me plus it will give me some time to relax and experience another culture before attending law school in 2013. I haven't decided when I will take the LSAT, but I know it will either be in February or June because there are only four dates a year in which I can take it. I also have not decided what law school I would like to attend, but Loyola and Howard University are the two schools in which I am most interested. I would like to practice family law, but considering the economy, I might end up in corporate first. For the past three summers, I have worked at a personal injury law firm in downtown Chicago. I go to court sometimes, fill out interrogatories and do random law clerk things around the office. I love working there and am grateful that I've had the chance to work there for the past three years.

I have two older sisters and an older brother and I am the youngest, which has its ups and downs. I really like to read and listen to music in my spare time and I also have an unnecessary obsession with TV. My favorite shows are Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, The Office, and Friends.
