"Janet 45" is a publishing house and poly-graphic complex in Plovdiv.

History

The publishing house is founded in Plovdiv in 1989. by the poet Bozana Apostolova. The modern Bulgarian poetry and prose take central place in the publishing politic of "Janet 45".

Sequels

From 2001, it publishes the sequels "Poets" and "Gambits" for poetic debut led by the poet Georgi Gospodinov and the literary critic Boris Minkov.

Manol Peiko, who is the manager there, is responsible for the translated literature at "Janet 45" Publishing House. The books are carefully selected and structured in the series "Beyond", "Sixth Cohort", "Indian Series", "Cuban Series" and "Short Stories Forever". Since 2014, under the leadership of Peykov, the publication of Granta Bulgaria, a magazine for contemporary literature, began, where Bulgarian and foreign authors found common ground.

In 2004, a novel "The Executioner" by Stefan Kisyov is published by the house and wins the award "Bulgarian novel of the year" by foundation "VIK". The house's novel "Thrown in nature" by Milen Ruskov wins the same award in it's sixth(and also last) publish. Novels published by the house hold 7(seven) nomination for the award.

Books published by the house are often nominated and win the award "Helicon" for modern Bulgarian prose – holders of the award are:

Award from publishing

Publishing House "Janet 45" is founded in 1994. The national award for poetry "Ivan Nikolov", given out early in two categories: for best poetic book and for the work as a whole.
