Template talk:Wikipedia Embassy link

Categories

edit

This template is used pretty widely in non-article namespaces. It seems like the intent of the Articles containing Korean language text and Articles containing Chinese language text categories is that they are used to categorize articles. Is there a reason that is not readily evident that the {{lang}} template needs to be used in this template? From what I can see, removing it will not have a visible effect on the template. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 03:51, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since there has been no reply to this post, I went ahead and deleted the use of the {{lang}} template due to the large number of user pages being added to article categories by its use. Dbiel (Talk) 02:42, 12 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
It should be noted that this template appears to be used nearly exclussively on user talk pages and as of this posting was not used on a single article page, making the use of the {{lang}} template meaningless, other than to add user pages to categories that they should not be added to. None of these section links point to the right section, because the sections are named Language (ISOcode), not just Language. Finnusertop (talk | guestbook | contribs) 15:37, 14 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Finnusertop:, would you mind making the required changes to Template:Wikipedia Embassy link/sandbox and reactivate when ready? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:28, 15 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
