Move to userspace again

edit

This template has been moved from userspace to template space. It should be moved back to userspace per Wikipedia:Userbox migration. A request to move has been proposed here: Wikipedia:Requested moves#2006-10-11. --Bisco 04:11, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's original location is User:Witchinghour/Userboxes/User Jordan. It seems to me that this template (Template:User Jordan) has been already userfied and deleted a few days ago. And is now re-created. It was then userfied at User:Menasim/Userboxes/User Jordan. --Bisco 04:32, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Userbox_policy_poll Seems like most people oppose it? Has this polity been adopted? Was there a vote? Who decides to follow this policy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Asfandyar (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia:Userbox migration says "No new policy is needed to do this, and this is not a policy proposal. Just go ahead and do it." This userbox gives information about a user and is therefore unencyclopedic. So it doesn't belong in template space. --Bisco 11:31, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
This userbox was never meant to be moved back to the template space, I'm assuming User:Asfandyar acted in good faith. I created the userbox on my user page because I wanted one that looked more consistent to the other User Country userboxes. I created it by first copying the code from User:Menasim/Userboxes/User Jordan. Wikipedians are welcome to use either one. I'd like to have my userbox back now, please, to my user page User:Witchinghour/Userboxes/User Jordan User:Witchinghour/Userboxes/User Jordan --Witchinghour 14:14, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Userbox migration refers only to controversial and divisive userboxes, and I fail to see why would this, user Bahrain etc. belong to that category. If you take a look at Category:Nation_of_origin_user_templates, pretty much none of country templates is userfied. Duja 08:36, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
