Image position

edit

Currently the image jumps down (remains vertically centered) when the collapsed portion is expanded. I think it would look better if the image stayed put, near the top of the box even when expanded. Mathglot (talk) 05:33, 9 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Performance

edit

Generating the three teaser stats at the top is one invocation each, and then another for the detail, for four total invocations, which is a lot for a heavy script, especially if the article it is applied to has hundreds of references (timeout is possible). This template runs slowly on Collaboration with the Axis powers (261 refs), and Operation Car Wash, for example. It would help to have a separate entry point or a lightweight version in order to generate the teaser line with a single invocation (or even teaser + detail, all at once).   Done. Thanks to this update to Module:Ref info by User:Trappist the Monk, rendering the transcluded template now takes two calls instead of four, and rendering the template page (with the top part and two doc page examples) takes six calls instead of twelve, which permits articles which are more citation-heavy, like World War II, to be rendered in a reasonable time without timing out. In rev. 1143672372, the '[show]' link was near the top of the box, just to the right of the summary text and vertically aligned with it, due to the "float" style. However, at wider window widths, the table would jump to the right side. So, I removed the float, which keeps the table on the left at any window width, however now the '[show]' link is awkwardly placed at a lower position, below the summary text. Not sure how to keep it aligned with the summary text, without causing the table to move at different widths. Mathglot (talk) 07:16, 9 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject banner shell

This is brilliant. Have you considered incorporating it into the WikiProject banner shell? Maybe as an option. 76.14.122.5 (talk) 19:10, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
