Warning
editThis is nowhere near close to encyclopedic, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to take a hatchet to it. --Kevlar (talk • contribs) 02:39, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
George Kalinsky
editShould we keep the following in the template, as they are part of Rangers' culture and lore: George Kalinsky, Knicks-Rangers Finals Series of 1994, Matteau!! Matteau!! Matteau!! All three of them were deleted? -- SNIyer12, (talk), 15:32, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- The point of the template is not to highlight every single catch phrase, piece of trivia or minor historical note, but to capture major topics. I axed a bunch because they were duplicate links - the Knicks-Rangers "final" is not notable, and MSG is already linked. "Matteau!! Matteau!! Matteau!!" is meaningless to anyone not intimately familiar with it's context, and is undoubtedly already mentioned in other linked articles - namely History and the 1993-94 Rangers season/1994 Stanley Cup Playoffs articles. If Rose is that notable, then link him as Howie Rose, easter eggs are generally considered bad. I have no idea if Kalinsky is so notable as to belong in the template, but if so, then I'd say re-add him as well. Resolute 16:52, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
