Collapse by default?

edit

Am I mistaken in thinking we usually have boxes like this default to collapsed? Uncollapsed it seems to take up rather a lot of space on the page. Tim riley talk 14:53, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Generally, navigation boxes are set to "autocollapse". If they overwhelm short articles, they can be set to "collapsed". Conversely, if they appear collapsed because of other navboxes in a long article where navigation between Ravel's articles is important, they can be set to "expanded". I think that setting the state of almost any navbox to "collapsed" is a disservice. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 01:08, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
