This template is the same as Template:UK stations but has space for the name of the PTE and the zone the station is in. All stations within the metropolitan counties will be in a PTE. MRSC 17:35, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Zones
Do all the PTEs have a zone system? I know West Midlands and Merseyside do, but I'm not so sure about West Yorkshire. --RFBailey 19:45, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yes. It has 5 zones. MRSC 06:55, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Merging with Template:UKrailwaystations
I've suggested here that Template:UKrailwaystations should be added to both this template and Template:UK_stations, and Template:UKrailwaystations used on station articles without infoboxes. Mtpt 16:13, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Image caption
The image captions only display when you move the cursor over the image. Can it be added below the image so it can be shown all the time? For example, I added a photo of the railway bridge at Erdington railway station, which is not of the station itself. The reson for this becomes clear when you read the caption and article. Without the caption, it's just a meaningless picture of a bridge.--Tivedshambo (talk) 07:54, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- I wouldn't say it was an entirely meaningless picture of a bridge: it is next to the station, after all. But I take your point: you were trying to draw attention to a particular detail in the photograph. When I was adding the infobox to articles, I was incorporating any image available into it. If there we had a photo of the station itself, then we could put that into the infobox, and move the bridge picture to somewhere else in the article. In the mean time, sorry about that.
- Personally, I wouldn't like to see captions in the infobox in general, as they could clutter it up quite a bit (especially long ones). --RFBailey 10:58, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- No problem in getting a photo of the station itself - I catch the train from there most days. --Tivedshambo (talk) 22:48, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
