Move proposal

Moved from Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)

I'm trying to rename template {{ihwu}} to {{ihw18}} (women's national under-18 ice hockey team) because "18" is the only category of women's youth ice hockey. So, the template {{ihwu}} is useless. In men's ice hockey similar "u"-template doesn't exist. There are following youth templates:

• {{ihj}} (men's national junior ice hockey team)
• {{ih18}} (men's national under-18 ice hockey team)

@Maiō T.: What is the actual problem - what happens when you click on "Move"? Does it show any error messages? --Redrose64 (talk) 18:46, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

"{{ihw18}} page with this title has previously been deleted" — but now it's O.K.

@Maiō T.: When you see a pink box containing a message like this, it's not telling you that you cannot do it; it's giving information. Just after that message will be one or more entries from the logs for the page; and in there, I see that a previous version of Template:Ihw18 was indeed deleted - but that in itself won't prevent a different page from being moved to that name. What would have prevented the move is if the deleted page had been WP:SALTed - but there is no evidence that this was ever done. --Redrose64 (talk) 09:29, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
