DEAD CHARACTERS

edit

should there be a section for deaseased characters?

I don't think so, let's leave the spoilers for the Character pages. --Fray Andrés de Pentarillo 06:06, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why Eden?

edit

Just wondering why Eden continues to be carried along as an 'Other Character' on the Template? She's been dead for 5 episodes. Isn't it time to remove her from the 'Other Characters List' template and leave her memory relegated to just the other charcters detailed list page like Charlie? --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 12:03, 20 February 2007 (EST)

Each character with an individual article gets a link in the template. Although Eden is dead, she may be important to other characters' plots later on. - fmmarianicolon | Talk 19:02, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template changes

edit

I added exclusion (reminder?) markup for the row that should have been the "Main characters" header row. It the original version, it was white text, so it appeared as if the first row in the template (aside from the name) was blank. If we need to add the "Main characters" row in, please remove the <!-- and !--> from the template. - fmmarianicolon | Talk 03:30, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Other characters" section

edit

I removed Ando, Claude, and Meredith from the Other Characters section. My reasoning is that only characters who have individual pages should be listed in the template. If someone wants to create a page for Ando (or any of the others), then we can add Ando (or the other characters) back into the Other Characters mix. - fmmarianicolon | Talk 00:54, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Structure of the template, for new editors:

edit

The 'Main characters' section of the template is ONLY for those characters which NBC states are main characters, usually by crediting the actors portraying the characters as the central Cast. In other words, odds are good that if they aren't seen in the opening credits, they aren't top 12. Other important characters, such as Sylar, are contained in the second section. Candice Wilmer

edit

she should be in it as, she's really important and is going to play a important part in episode 20, also her name is spelt Candace Willmer [[1]], for now i did it Candice Wilmer.

All of NBC's materials spell her name "Candice". The link you provide is a typo. - SigmaEpsilonΣΕ 20:28, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Main Characters vs Other Characters

edit

I believe that following developments in the series, that some of the characters are placed in the wrong category in this template. Sylar is definately a main character, with several of his own subplots, and having appeared in 15 episodes. Simone, however, is no longer a main character, having not been a focal point even when she was still in the series, she is now dead and only appeared in 13 episodes in the series. As it was stated in the Heroes article, a "main character" is determined by his/her name appearing on the initial credits. Zachary Quinto's name doesn't appear, therefore he is not considered by the series a "main character". Garavello 17:06, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
