Usage

edit

Search comics.org using the publisher dropdown menu then add the ID to the template along with the publisher's name, for example:

{{gcdb publisher|id=1797|title=CrossGen}}

Which give you:

As seen at CrossGen#References. (Emperor (talk) 16:22, 22 June 2008 (UTC))Reply

Imprints

edit

Will now work with imprints. I am slightly mystified by the GCDB query string structure but it works now - you need an extra parameter to make it work: "&imprint=1" as in:

{{gcdb publisher|id=995|title=Wildstorm|imprint=1}}

It may be simpler to create a template "gcdb imprint" which takes the ID and transcludes this template and just adds the extra parameter but this works so I am happy with that. That said if someone thinks that is the better way to do it then go ahead - I have only used it on Marvel UK so it is easy to change it. (Emperor (talk) 20:54, 12 July 2008 (UTC))Reply

I started it: {{gcdb imprint}} - this way both methods will work - this new template is just simpler. (Emperor (talk) 21:04, 12 July 2008 (UTC))Reply

There seems to be no standard URL used by the GCDB - see also {{gcdb}} and {{gcdb series}} (the former being the main one. (Emperor (talk) 16:11, 22 June 2008 (UTC))Reply
