Winrich Kolbe

edit

5x expanded by Miyagawa (talk). Self nominated at 22:06, 24 June 2013 (UTC).

  • There are 3 "borderline" issues here
  • At 2106 prose characters (excluding the lists), this is just barely above a 5X expansion and pretty short in any case
  • The source for the hook, CBS Entertainment, is not usually considered an unbiased reliable source on (in effect) itself, but I think it can be considered reliable for this specific fact
  • I don't find the hook interesting. The guy lived 71 years, and the most interesting thing about him is a count?
Others editors may want to check my count or counter my opinion, but I'd likely pass this if ...

Can't you find a more interesting hook? Smallbones(smalltalk) 00:47, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Well, how about these:
Alt1:... that Winrich Kolbe pushed for a female captain in Star Trek: Voyager, and later dated the actress for about three years?
Alt2... that Winrich Kolbe helped to cast a female captain in Star Trek: Voyager against the wishes of Paramount Pictures?
Alt3:... that Winrich Kolbe directed the Hugo Award winning series finale of Star Trek: The Next Generation, "All Good Things..."? Miyagawa (talk) 14:41, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
for Alt-2; Alt-1 might get into BLP territory, so would need a better source; Alt-3 would probably be ok but I prefer Alt-1. Smallbones(smalltalk) 17:56, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
