  • Date and length fine. The hook is slightly long (I make it 203 characters, including spaces) but in view of the length of the title and other necessary details I do not think that it would be feasible to shorten it. The hook is interesting and is confirmed by an online citation to a reliable source. But there should be a citation at the end of the sentence containing the facts stated by the hook ("Rule" 3b). Otherwise it's all OK. --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 15:22, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
  • A hook over 200 characters should be shortened, and this one is bogged down with too many numbers. How about:
  • ALT1: ... that Saul Steinberg's famous New Yorker cover, View of the World from 9th Avenue, was named the fourth greatest magazine cover in a 40-year survey?
  • BTW, the last sentence in the lead is a bit overblown and needs sources to back up the two statements (that it's one of the greatest covers of all time and that art students study it). All you say in the article is that the cover scored high on one 40-year survey. Yoninah (talk) 01:21, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
  • I have revised the LEAD. However, note that this is an uncited LEAD format, meaning that all content in the lead is cited in the main body rather than the LEAD itself.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:45, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
  • OK, thanks, now I see the citations. Hook ref verified. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 11:51, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
