  • QPQ checks out. Excluding the public domain copy/paste per WP:DYKCRIT 2b, the total text is around 1,758 characters. Hook is neutral. Image for hook is in the public domain, and that checks out. Images in article are in the public domain. Article has been expanded in the past seven days properly, from 322 to 1,758. So just barely but OK. As for sourcing, the article could be improved by using cite templates, but that is not a requirement. Also a few ndashes would help as well. Hook is under 200 characters and is interesting. I don't see how ref 5 supports "best seller for 1896" claim. I'm not sure why ref 5 isn't included in the "reception" section either. Article says "The novel was the best selling novel in the United States in 1896." but it is never said under "publication history" that the novel was published in 1896. Once that is added, with a citation (and best-case including the publisher of the novel), and The New York Times review is added to the "Reception" section, the hook is good to go.
