Thérèse de Dillmont, Jean Dollyer edit

Therese-de-Dillmont

  • ALT1:have a go ...
  • Reviewed: QPQ = Chaonei No. 81 and Bianca Kronlöf
  • Comment: The first is an expansion and the second is new. The wikisource link has been done before and it links to work by @Durova

5x expanded by Victuallers (talk). Self nominated at 11:46, 29 October 2014 (UTC).

Size, newness, cites, hook, QPQ check out. Good to go. The second article could use a serious copyedit though. Maury Markowitz (talk) 12:22, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
  • If it needs a copyedit, it's not ready for the main page. Yoninah (talk) 00:04, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
... and if it doesnt then it doesnt. MM has said that it is good enough. This was copyeditted some time ago - I couldnt see where the serious copyedit was required. If it isnt good enough then can someone fix the problems they perceive or at least add some specific detail so it can be fixed. Thanks for your help. Victuallers (talk) 17:24, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Hmmm. I did a copyedit on Jean Dollfus, but it didn't turn out to be anything out of the ordinary. The only lingering issue I see is that the Thérèse de Dillmont page doesn't mention anything about product placement for Dollfus' company, just for "a French thread company". As an avid needleworker, I found the history of the D.M.C. company fascinating and hope you'll write an article about that, too. Yoninah (talk) 22:43, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the polish @Yoninah ! It wasnt perfect but it is better now. I have added the name of the company to the "product placement" sentence to clear up any ambiguity. I get intrigued by Dillmont because she is a rare female encyclopedist. Dollfus just got done because he was so close to her story. However I did see that coverage of items in France are nowhere as detailed as those in the UK and there are lots of opportunities (in English!). Thanks again Victuallers (talk) 22:56, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Hook ref verified and cited inline in both articles. Good to go. Yoninah (talk) 23:31, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
