He wasn't the co-founder according to the supplied source. Allow me to suggest a tweak:
- ALT2: ... that Telfair Hodgson was the original financial backer and first managing editor of The Sewanee Review, the oldest continuously published literary quarterly in the United States?

- @Gatoclass and Yoninah: Having looked at The Sewanee Review article I thought the tag inappropriate and have removed it. It had been there for two years, I could not identify what editor it was referring to and the article was not promotional. So ALT2 should be alright. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:05, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
