The article remains too short for DYK

TV's 50 Greatest Stars

edit

5x expanded by Acather96 (talk). Self nominated at 14:02, 12 August 2014 (UTC).

  • Text in lists or tables doesn't count towards the DYK length/expansion criteria (don't ask me, I'm just parroting the rules) Belle (talk) 23:09, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
  • I think an argument could be made that the pre-expansion version, with a numbered list, would only count as having the intro's 186 prose characters qualify (being not in said list), so a 5x expansion would come to under 1000 characters, thus leaving the 1500 minimum as the relevant requirement. At the moment, the article's intro has 1016 prose characters, so another 500 characters or so there would be sufficient for this to qualify for DYK in the length department. • Whilst the rule about text in lists or tables not counting towards the expansion criteria seems bizzare, I have now expanded the lead to the degree where it meets the 1500b size. Does the article qualify now @Belle:/@BlueMoonset:? Thank-you. :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 16:04, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
  • Acather96, I'm afraid I missed your ping. It appears that Belle copyedited the lead shortly after the above post, and while it may have exceeded 1500 before the edits, there are now only 1418 prose characters according to DYKcheck. I'm afraid it doesn't yet qualify. (The intro does mention that the public were allowed to nominate additional stars not on the list; did any of them actually make the top 50, or even come close? Information on this could add the necessary prose, if available.) BlueMoonset (talk) 05:54, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
  • There has been no response, and Acather96 has only edited once on Wikipedia, on September 9, since the above post, and then not on this article. It's now been three weeks without a response, and the article remains too short for DYK at 1418 prose characters. Marking for closure as unsuccessful. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:33, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
