Steal Like An Artist edit

  • ... that the New York Times Bestseller Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon originally started out as just a talk with students in New York upstate?

Created/expanded by Abhinav (talk). Self nominated at 23:09, 12 March 2014 (UTC).

  • Note: I moved the article from Steal Like An Artist to Steal Like an Artist, and have edited the hook to reflect this. 97198 (talk) 12:16, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
Interesting article, date and length fine. I don't see enough independent sources, the author's home page isn't really one. Do we know a bit about reception? Do me a favour and repeat the source after all ten paragraphs, for the formalists. Please add categories, and projects on the talk page, look at similar books and copy. The hook is interesting, but I think to quote the full title might be even more so, what do you think?
ALT1: ... that Austin Kleon's book Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative became a New York Times Bestseller?
Anyway, the hook fact needs a reference, and right after the statement about Bestseller. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:35, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Note: updated this template to reflect above article title change, and also to reflect creator's username change. Putting a notification on nominator's talk page of issues noted by Gerda. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:50, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
  • - Thank you for considering the article for DYK, but I'm really sorry I cannot do the reorganisation. The circumstances I'm into, do not permit me to devote time to anything other than "vigorous" studies for at least a couple of months, infact I won't even be editing during this time. However, I'll be indebted if someone could do me the favour and make the changes if possible. Sorry for my inabilty. Thank you very much for your time. Abhinav (talk) 15:33, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for letting us know. I will wait a bit. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:15, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
  • The original creator/nominator won't be able to address the issues, and no one else has stepped in to do any work on the article over the past twelve days. Under the circumstances, there's nothing we can do but close the nomination as unsuccessful. Sorry that it didn't work out this time, but it sounds like you're quite busy.
