- ALT1 ... that the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library almost became part of the Stanford University library system?
Interesting article about public facilities, well sourced. Two pictures seem to be missing. The original hook would be interesting to people who knew the lady, - I didn't. - Thanks for the suggestions; I'll see what the article's author has to say. About the hook, I usually try to get something surprising into the hook, something most people don't know - something that will pique their curiosity, make them go "huh?" and click on the link. A lot of people know about the connection between the Hoover Institution and Stanford, but very few people know that the Reagan Library was almost located there. --MelanieN (talk) 14:08, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- P.S. Jane Stanford co-founded the university with her husband Leland Stanford, and she single-handedly ran the university after his death. Here is a picture of her. - Here's a stab at a hook about the Hoover collection, although I prefer the other hooks:
