Stag Hill, University of Surrey edit

The Stag statue
The Stag statue
  • ... that the 5-metre sheet-aluminium Stag statue at the entrance to the University of Surrey's Stag Hill Campus was strength-tested by its creators before being placed to make sure it could withstand the weight of students attempting to climb it? • Okay, so the article is new, it’s short but not a stub, everything is sourced - one link seems overused but not too bad - and it has paraphrased well enough to not throw up copyvios. It’s quite good for a first article. The hook is cited and interesting, perhaps a bit too wordy (is all of the detail definitely needed - this can be worked out specifically in the prep stage I believe). If the image is kept then presumably the description of it can go? However, the image isn’t from the article - it should ideally be on the page. I’m quite interested in how it says the campus has lots of levels and walkways, is the campus designed like an art piece? This is the user’s first DYK nom, no QPQ needed. A few discussion points, but nothing to stop it being ready. Kingsif (talk) 21:47, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
  • @Kingsif: actually, the hook wording should be worked out on the nomination page so the nominator doesn't have complaints when other editors fiddle with the wording in prep and queues. How about:
  • ALT1: ... that an aluminum statue (pictured) at the entrance to the University of Surrey's Stag Hill Campus was strength-tested before being placed to ensure it could withstand the weight of students attempting to climb it? Yoninah (talk) 23:02, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
  • I have added the image to the article. The image is freely licensed. Yoninah (talk) 10:34, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Image is now usable, ALT1 hook preferred. Kingsif (talk) 01:58, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
