Rahul Thakkar
edit- ... that Rahul Thakkar, an Indian animation expert, jointly won the Academy Award in 2016 for scientific and technical achievement?

- Apparently, not many Indians have won the Academy awards. Only six till date, including Rahul Thakkar. Therefore the given hook may be quite interesting for the current time, as the Oscars are about to be held.Xender Lourdes (talk) 08:49, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
- I see no issues with the article. No copyvio or close paraphrasing and it's long enough. It's a pass. White Arabian Filly (Neigh) 20:14, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

- "Only six till date..." - This information is incorrect. There are other individuals of Indian origin who have won an academy award in the technical achievement award category. Please see the Academy Awards Database - Look for SciTech awards and work your way backwards from now. There are names visibly identifiable as those of Indian origin and others that may not be. Either that or please remove "only six till date". If you review Indian news media, in addition to Mr. R Thakkar, there is another Mr. C Leon who is of Indian origin receiving a technical achievement award [1].
