Preise, Jerusalem, den Herrn, BWV 119
edit... that Bach used festive four trumpets in his first cantata to celebrate the annual inauguration of the Leipzig town council, Preise, Jerusalem, den Herrn, BWV 119, in the Nikolaikirche (pictured)?
- Reviewed: Chilean rock rat
- Comment: best on 31 August when it would have been performed in Bach's time

- ... or IAR? because both "first" and "annual" would be interesting I think, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:44, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- Works and yes, I agree it is interesting. How many cities are even around long enough to have 1000 years of annual events? :) GTG SusunW (talk) 20:55, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- 1000 I don't know, - it was annual at Bach's time, and not a after a democratic election, - now probably every 4 or 5 years, - perhaps better to not mention it ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:18, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification on the election cycle. Reticking after update. SusunW (talk) 00:56, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- Comment for date: once we missed 31 August, let's please wait until after 29 September when we'll have one with a date connection I didn't miss ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:10, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
