Palace on Wheels

edit

expanded by Human3015 (talk). Self-nominated at 01:24, 12 August 2015 (UTC).

  • Not a fivefold. As from improving the article, the difference in size is very little. When the rules say fivefold, they meant in prose. In other words, a lot of details must be added. And I don't think the article qualifies as GA at this time. George Ho (talk) 06:11, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
@George Ho: I removed 5x. Actually this is my one of first nomination and didn't know much about this issue. I didn't nominate it for GA, but it is for DYK. I will work on article little bit more. --Human3015Send WikiLove  06:28, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Any expansion under fivefold wouldn't be acceptable. By the way, here are rules from WP:DYK. George Ho (talk) 06:42, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
  • The article has 1726 characters of prose and is eligible for DYK. Posted by due date. Hook is interesting and reference is verified. QPQ is not required as nominator has less than5 DYKs. No copy vio noted and the text is neutral. Good to go. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nvvchar (talkcontribs) 02:27, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

Too short to be GA. Still not enough expansion. George Ho (talk) 16:41, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

  • Human3015, before you started editing, the article had 1658 prose characters. After your edits, the total is now 1728 prose characters. The minimum expansion for existing articles is five times its previous length, as noted above; that means the article would need to be 8440 prose characters to be eligible for DYK, which does not strike me as feasible. At this point, the article's only hope to someday be eligible for DYK is to become a Good Article (GA), and then nominated for DYK within seven days of being listed. The GA criteria would need to be met, and articles this short rarely cover the topic in sufficient depth to qualify. For new articles (nominated within seven days of creation), 1500 prose characters is the minimum required for DYK, so you might want to try nominating one of those in future. @BlueMoonset: Thanks for your review, I was not knowing about rules of the nomination. I will take care next time. Anyway, I have created new article Tourism on the Moon. Can you review this? There is "Moon" in your name also. I want to nominate it for DYK. Moreover, it is a global issue and people are interested in it. Article do need more improvement and I will surely do it, but can you have a look at it, or can you nominate it for DYK? --Human3015Send WikiLove  22:47, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Human3015, at the moment the Tourism on the Moon article has 610 prose characters—note that bulleted lists do not count toward the 1500 prose character total (lists are not considered prose for DYK purposes). You'll need to expand it further. I'm not interested in nominating it for DYK or reviewing it—the above wasn't a review so much as an explanation of the reason why your nomination had not succeeded—but you're certainly welcome to do so yourself as you did with this nomination; you don't have to do it today, but should no later than August 27, since the moon-tourism article will be seven days old then. Best of luck! BlueMoonset (talk) 23:01, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
