  • ... that perfumer Olivia Giacobetti popularized the use of fig in perfumery? (Source: "Quant à Olivia Giacobetti, elle invente la note figuier dans les années 1990 pour Diptyque et L’Artisan parfumeur." "As for Olivia Giacobetti, she invented the fig note in the 1990s for Diptyque and L'Artisan Parfumeur." Le Monde)
    • ALT1:... that Olivia Giacobetti established herself as a perfumer with two scents inspired by the fig tree: L'Artisan Parfumeur Premier Figuier and Diptyque Philosykos? (Source: "Premier Figuier was the fragrance that put Olivia Giacobetti on the map, and deservedly so: its fig-leaf note...was an overdue natural in perfumery, and pleasantly jarring" and "Because it was composed by Olivia Giacobetti sometime after Premier Figuier, I used to mentally refer to this one as Second Figuier, but in truth it is the first proper fig in perfumery", Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez, Perfumes: The Guide, Viking, 2008)

  • expansion began on 23 August with article at 128 char, size is now 4613 char, more than 5x expanded and long enough. Nominated on same day as expansion began, new enough. All paragraphs are cited. Neutral. QPQ done. No apparent copyvios. Photograph indicates is freely distributable. Hook 0 is 72 char and alt1 is 158 chars, both under the maximum of 200. The source in the nomination for 0 says she invented it, not that she popularized it; however, within the article the citation to ISBN 978-0-670-01865-9 an off-line reference would appear to substantiate that she not only invented it but as it "put her on the map" made it popular. For the second hook, the Le Monde] piece clearly credits the two fig scents to her expertise as a perfumer. Nice article! GTG SusunW (talk) 17:04, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
Thanks! One more source for Alt0: "Their brilliant Philosykos, created in 1996 for Diptyque by Olivia Giacobetti, is often credited with the late 1990s fig craze." -- NYT perfume critic Chandler Burr. -- Innisfree987 (talk) 17:35, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
