Nomorhamphus ebrardtii edit

  • ... that embryos of Nomorhamphus ebrardtii develop in the mother fish's oviduct, feeding on unfertilised eggs and developing embryos?

Created by Cwmhiraeth (talk). Self-nominated at 07:27, 26 February 2016 (UTC).

  • Date, length and references are fine. Hook is interesting and cited, although I cannot access the source (I added the word "other" to the hook for clarity). No copyvio seen on spotcheck of accessible sources. QPQ is done. 97198 (talk) 03:48, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
@97198: Thanks. I took the word "other" out again because the unfertilised eggs will never develop. It would be preferable to use ALT1. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:11, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT1 ... that the young of Nomorhamphus ebrardtii develop in the mother fish's oviduct, feeding on unfertilised eggs and their smaller siblings?
  • @Cwmhiraeth: I think you misunderstood what my "other" was referring to (so perhaps it wasn't clear at all) – I meant for it to refer back to the original "embryos", as if to say "that embryos of N. ebrardtii feed on other developing embryos". But as you say, ALT1 is a fine alternative so I've struck the original. 97198 (talk) 06:38, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
  • Marking as needing further review. Ideally to be resolved between the two involved editors, but if needed, this will alert a third opinion to join. Jolly Ω Janner 04:14, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
