- It can't be approved as it stands as it is under construction. I'd be more comfortable if things were cited to secondary sources - commentary about the religious text, not the religious text itself. Secretlondon (talk) 15:45, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Have nominated it now just so that I do not forget nominating and then fail meet "New – within the past five days". I will leave a note here when done, possibly by Tuesday. I've copyedited it. The hell image seems to have Christian influences - demons with horns etc. Also do you think these hells are meant to be taken literally? I think the third image needs better sourcing - it's just to a blog and you don't really demonstrate it's public domain due to age. The ref to ISKCON's commentary about the verse checks out - although it says indiscriminate sex including with animals, not just animals. I think you need to remove the third image but apart from that it's okay. Secretlondon (talk) 21:15, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- Hindu demons are also described as horned in some cases, however there may be Christian influence as it is printed in then capital of the Raj. These hells are supposed to be literal like the Christian Hell. Added new source for third image. The "Anant Shivaji Desai" (publisher) and "Ravi Varma Press" in Devanagari printed on the lithograph indicates it is pre-1945. Mani p. 369: "This Naraka is for the punishment of those who have unnatural intercourse with cows and other animals." --Redtigerxyz Talk 08:32, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

- Hold on - this hook strikes me as somewhat off. To say that according to Hinduism, people who engage in zoophilic acts will be tortured in Hell is starkly different from the typical light-hearted Hallowe'en fare (and the same could be said of homosexuality, but for obvious reasons that would be even less acceptable as a hook). I think this is OK for another day, but to juxtapose it with the humorous hooks of Hallowe'en would be in poor taste, in my opinion. Intelligentsium 00:49, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
