Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus

edit
  • ... that Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus's chairman, Huang Honsheng, assumed the role after he bailed from prison in 2009 for six years' imprisonment in 2006 on four counts from theft of corporate funds?
    • ALT1:... that Huang Honsheng was arrested for embezzling more than 50 million yuan from two Skyworth subsidiaries with his brother from 2000 to 2004 before he was chairman of Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus?

  • Both hooks seem to be BLP violations and thus I'm comfortable with either being used on the main page. Maybe something else could be used that doesn't have to do with the chairman's criminal record? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:11, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
    • Can't think of anything interesting that I can find based on my initial research. How about something related to joint research with a university outside of China...
ALT2:... that Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus established a joint research laboratory with San Diego State University in 2015 to jointly develop batteries and other electric technologies? Ominae (talk) 03:29, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
ALT3:... that Nanjing Golden Dragon Buss vehicle marque Skywell is inspired from the English word Skyworth?
I'd say that among the hooks proposed so far, ALT2 is probably the best one. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:53, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
It's a go then? Ominae (talk) 03:20, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
  • Some quick comments, with the full review to follow soon. The lede says that the company "produced vans...", but the company still exists so "produced" should be in the present tense (i.e. "produces"). Secondly, RMB needs to be wikilinked. Thirdly, the "Models" table lacks citations. Finally, the article's grammar could be improved, there are some incorrect grammatical constructions throughout. I'd suggest that you request a copyedit over at WP:GOCE/R before this nomination can continue. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:18, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
Dammit. I was sure that I had some minimal grammar errors and stuff. I can most likely use the same references for the model table. I won’t be surprised if it’ll be delayed for a bit. I'll be able to do the errors and stuff, including wikilinking some stuff as much as possible. Hopefully it still goes through. Ominae (talk) 00:31, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
Noted. I'll give this a second check once the copyedit is done. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:06, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
Unless I'll be missing something, it should be mostly done. Ominae (talk) 03:27, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
One last suggestion before I approve this: the article has a lot of one-sentence paragraphs. Although technically this is optional, it might be a good idea to combine several of them into single paragraphs if they go together. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:10, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
Make sense. I combined some short paragraphs according to what make sense. Should be done by now. Ominae (talk) 01:54, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
There are still a few more paragraphs that could be merged. My suggestion would be to group them by year (i.e. one paragraph for every year discussed, like one for 2014, one for 2015, etc.). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:16, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
Took care of that too. I didn’t do some lines that just had information on years cause they’re different topics IMO that don’t fit with the rest. Ominae (talk) 14:49, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
Almost done. Just make sure that when discussing previous years, text should be in past tense (for example, "NGDB has passed the new energy vehicle production" should be "NGDB passed the new energy vehicle production"). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:41, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
Took care of an obvious verb tense consistency that I saw. I’ll check later to see if there’s any updates. Ominae (talk) 06:27, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
Should be fine unless something needs to be looked at. Ominae (talk) 01:01, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
Should be good to go now with ALT2. I modified it slightly so that it's now in past tense. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:17, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
Understood. Ominae (talk) 01:51, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
