Article length, article creation date, hook length, hook sourcing all check out. But the hook content is dull; better would be to incorporate the "important jazz standard in the move towards ..." statement. There are some other aspects that can be improved as well. The bold titles at the beginning should be in quotes, not italics, since this is a song. The infobox says the original writing claimants are Buster and Bennie Moten but the text says Bennie Moten and Thamon Hayes – which is it? The article is quotation-heavy, and two unattributed ones should just be described/paraphrased and cited: "anthem of Kansas City", "thirty-two measure AABA form ... [which doesn't even have a closing quote]. Dates should be in December 13, 1932 format since this is a U.S. subject. And the term "Covers" is all wrong here – it doesn't fit the old meaning of competing releases and it doesn't fit the modern meaning of playing someone else's material in a world where you are expected to play your own. Jazz and pop standards are supposed to be recorded by others, that's the whole idea. It should just say something like "Other recordings" in the section header and "recorded by" in the article text. - If the article is to be believed, I think the hook should be: ALT2 ... that the 1932 jazz standard "Moten Swing" was an important development in the move towards a freer form of orchestral jazz and the development of swing music? ALT2 hook is 158 characters long (under the 200 character max. limit) and is interesting. Refs 5 and 6 (verifying the hook) are both reliable sources. QPQ not needed, but done anyways. Re-checking of initial review confirms that article length (2,794 characters), date (new article nom'd 3 days after creation) and citation of sources all check out.
