Merdeka 17805 edit

  • ... that Merdeka 17805, regarding the fight for Indonesian independence, has been described as a "two-fisted, hinomaru-waving, blood-and-guts ode to the soldiers who died for the glory of the emperor and for Dai Nippon"?
ALT1 ... that the Japanese film Merdeka 17805 tells of the fight for Indonesian independence but has been criticised as pro-Japanese propaganda?

  • New article is 7,292 characters long and completed on the same day as nomination. Duplication detector check of English-language sources [1][2] and quick read through of Google Books sources (which can't go through Dup detector) reveal no close paraphrasing issues (AGF foreign-language ones). Article is well-sourced. Hook is 216 characters long (ALT1 is 135); both are interesting. While the former is over the 200 character max. limit, it encompasses a direct quote, so leeway should be given the by promoter (latter is under the limit). Refs 5 (verifying main hook) and 2 (verifying the ALT1 hook) are both reliable sources; the former is from AllMovie, while the latter is published by NUS Press. QPQ done. Looks good to go! —Bloom6132 (talk) 08:46, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
