Lethal (Argentine band) edit

Lethal, Argentine Thrash metal band

  • ... that the Argentine band Lethal recorded a live album in a prison?

  • New enough and long enough. No sign of copyvio. Hook is very interesting and verifiable. QPQ done. However, a reverse-search of the image finds it used in a blog in 2011. I like to assume good faith, but I would like a second opinion on whether this image is free. '''tAD''' (talk) 11:51, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Comment: The image was added by User:Bebegle in 2014 (his only edit on commons), who stated it was his own work. It is also used in the spanish language article which was created in 2006. Bebegle added the image to the spanish language edition at the same time as uploading the image (his only edit on the spanish wikipedia [1]). The same image was used on (seemingly independent) blog articles in 2011 and 2012. The image looks staged to me, so it's possible that it was taken by Bebegle who maybe works for the band and has uploaded it with their permission. On the other hand, it seems quite possible that the blogs & the wikipedia uploader both scraped it from the band's website. There is no obvious link between Bebegle and the two creators, who per their user pages are Argentinian music fans. AndrewRT(Talk) 19:34, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

- WITHOUT THE IMAGE. Due to concerns about where the image has come from, I think we should just go without it. The full review was done by User:The Almightey Drill so this is G2G, without image. ツStacey (talk) 10:17, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

  • I have pulled this from p5 as the article is in serious need of a copyedit: "an album almost entirely in English, which found in "King of the Ring"; the first hit of the Argentine trash metal". "With a couple of lineup changes, edited in 1992, his second study material, entitled "Warriors", including songs like "Warriors in the night" or "Fight"." "Like his antesucesor , he was completely recorded in English." etc. Gatoclass (talk) 03:56, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

I am sorry I gave this a tick - I thought it was just the image that was a problem. Having briefly looked at the article, I have removed the gobbledegook and an unsourced quote about it being the first thrash hit in Argentina. Unfortunately it is now under the minimum character count. As I can't speak the language of the sources, I cannot improve this article further for the DYK process. Please feel free to disagree with me but I think this DYK should be rejected. ツStacey (talk) 09:22, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

    • Given that the creator appears to have not come by to help out, no sense leaving this to languish. Closing per discussion. Montanabw(talk) 05:07, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
