Lego tires edit

A Lego tire on a red wheel.

  • Length and date OK. Hook fine; facts in hook verified and cited. No copyvios. For the second sentence in History, you should include reference 3. In addition, that sentence, with the phrase "since the 1952's" is awkward. It's also not strictly correct, as the article in ref 3 indicated that car kits had been available for more than a decade before the appearance of the 1962 kit. I recommend rephrasing that. Ref 5 is not available; instead there's a message indicating lack of availability or reaching time limit. I would delete ref 5. Also, I recommend a copyedit for grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I'll do my own copyedit after you're finished. Photo is fine. Thank you for submitting your article. Anne (talk) 12:43, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Don't rag on Kelapstick for spelling etc.--he's Canadian, so that's a sensitive topic. We don't want to make an incident of it. Drmies (talk) 13:48, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
  • I messed that sentence up a bit; see if you like it better. Drmies (talk) 13:57, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks doc, the 1952s shoud have been 50s, I had 52 originally, but hadn't changed it properly. my usual copy editors had gone to bed by the time I nominated it (slackers). I'll have a go at it in the morning. Also refer to my linguistically confused comment on Drmies' talk page :) --kelapstick(bainuu) 14:01, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
  • "Slackers"? NPA territory, K. Drmies (talk) 14:11, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Slackers? I love it! Hey, if spelling, whatever, is an issue, I can be on the lookout and help you with copy edits. My grandmother was from a French Canadian family and taught my Dad French before English. I wouldn't want an international incident. Anne (talk) 19:11, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
  • First of, Doc, thanks for going through it, next time I will be sure call you in the middle of the night to have you copyedit before I bring it here. It is so hard to find good help this year, I guess this is what I get for collaborating across the International Date Line). Also note that life is coming full circle as I had to remove a comma from Drmies, who says I can't be taught. Anne, thanks for the review, I am not sure which Ref 5 (now that Drmies has tweaked it) is not available, but they all worked for me this morning, and yesterday, I think that covers all basis, if there are any more issues, let me know and I will take care of them. Cheers, --kelapstick(bainuu) 21:22, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Suck it K. I'm changing my Skype account. Anne, sorry you got caught in the middle. Just remember, I'm an admin and K is not. Also, K can't even figure out where he wants to live, so he clearly can't commit. Square jugs, round miniwheels... Drmies (talk) 02:02, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
  • You and your Lego tires are good to go! And the Lego: A Love Story source reappeared! Anne (talk) 16:35, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
