Kent Angus edit

Created by Flibirigit (talk). Self-nominated at 15:45, 17 June 2019 (UTC).

  • New enough, long enough, neutrally written, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. However, the hook fact is not in the source given, so I added a "citation needed" tag to the article. Personally, I think you should add some more colorful information, such as his providing replacement jerseys or jerseys for charity, to the hook. QPQ done. Yoninah (talk) 22:14, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
  • I updated the citation's definition. It was a cut and paste error. As for your suggestion, I am not opposed to it, but nothing is coming to mind right now. I might think of something later, but you're welcome to suggest hooks. Flibirigit (talk) 02:37, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: I have been asked to contribute some alternative hooks. Here are four I think are "hooky" enough. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:00, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
  • Thank you HickoryOughtShirt?4 for the suggestions. I like your suggestions, and they are much appreciated as I had some brain cramps on this one. Flibirigit (talk) 17:18, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
  • Thank you, HickoryOughtShirt. There's no inline cite for the "discovery pieces" in ALT1. Having never heard of the Paul Loicq Award, I don't see the need to include it in a hook. May I suggest:
  • The discovery pieces was covered by the citation at the end of the paragraph. I have duplicated it for the sake of DYK. The Paul Loicq Award is one of the highest honours given by the IIHF, one step below its Hall of Fame. I feel it is important enough to mention. Customizing apparel on site is actually more common than you would think. Professional ice hockey teams in the NHL, KHL et cetera have a person doing so. I'm still flexible on the hook. Flibirigit (talk) 22:20, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
  • ALT3 is slightly inaccurate as he personally was not cited as contributing to disaster relief, but rather the jerseys were auctioned off the contribute. Flibirigit (talk) 22:24, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
  • Well, I like ALT1 best now that you explained about the Paul Loicq Award. I added some more information about what the "discovery pieces" were from the source, so readers who are piqued by the ALT1 hook will have a little more to read about. ALT1 hook refs verified and cited inline. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 22:35, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
