Hook is awkwardly worded. It sounds like she learned programming at age 7 or 8, when in fact that's the age her father began encouraging her to learn it. In fact, given the subject of the sentence, the article doesn't say when or where she learned it. It says she earned a bachelor's of science in management at Warner Business College.
