John le Fucker

edit
  • ... that John le Fucker's name probably did not mean what you might think it means?

  • Article length, creation date, NPOV and paraphrasing, all okay. Hook length okay and a couple of the hook sources verified in Google Books. But I have changed the hook text to use "did not" instead of "didn't" per WP:CONTRACTION, since I figure hook text should follow general MoS guidelines. I would prefer that the article text be reworked to get the links out of the block quote, per WP:LINKSTYLE, but that isn't a DYK issue. Wasted Time R (talk) 19:21, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Please note that this is supposed to be an April Fool's DYK - I'd already listed it on the April Fool's page. Prioryman (talk) 00:40, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Could there be some Alt hooks suggested? This one looks like some kind of puerile humour. I personally would prefer something a lot more interesting. TheOriginalSoni (talk) 20:40, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
This is supposed to be April Fool's Day after all, and it's about an inherently puerile name (by modern standards). The article itself plays it entirely straight. Prioryman (talk) 21:39, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
